Online banking with Kreissparkasse München
Attaching Gnucash to the Kreissparkasse
Actually, getting Gnucash to work with online banking has become
pretty easy (by linux standards). Install gnucash with the hbci
use flag enabled. It will pull in aqbanking, which needs to have
qt3 enabled, or otherwise you won't get a wizard.
Start gnucash, add your desired accounts. Then start Tools/Online Banking Setup. You will get a wizard. Create a new user, select the
HBCI backend, use Setup PIN/TAN. Then, enter bank code (70250150
for Kreissparkasse München-Starnberg), and the server (which you
will find somewhere in the documents you received). The server is
https://hbci-pintan-by.s-hbci.de/PinTanServlet for
Kreissparkasse München-Starnberg. The User ID is the account number
for the Sparkasse, a customer ID is not required.
Okay, the rest is pretty self-explanatory, just click through, enter your PIN. Finally, assign your accounts to the respective gnucash accounts, and you're done. Even transfers work from inside gnucash.
